Killing Heidi were discovered by Triple J in an unsigned band music competition (or something similar)  with their song 'Kettle'. Ella and Jesse were only 13 and 16 at the time! Ella and Jesse grew up in the small country suburb of Violet Town, a couple of hours out of Melbourne. The weir in the video clip of 'Weir' is about 5 minutes out of Violet Town.

Here are their dates of birth (from youngest to oldest)
Ella was born on the 30th of January, 1983,
Jesse was born on the 11th of October, 1980,
Adam was born on the 15th of April, 1976 and
Warren was born on the 11th of June, 1973.

The brother and sister song writing team are now 17 (18 soon) and 21. Some have described Ella's voice as "the voice of an Evil Angel". Along with Jesse's fantastic guitar playing, they are brilliantly backed by Adam Pedretti (drums) and Warren Jenkin (bass).

The first single, 'Weir' has got to no. 6 on the Aria Charts. This was produced by Paul Kosky, who also produced Crowded House, The Clouds, Rage Against The Machine and N.I.L, and now all other Killing Heidi releases.

'Reflector' can now also be purchased with a bonus disc, featuring 11 live tracks from Cold Live At The Chapel, and an interactive CDRom section including an interview with Courtney Cox, the US Weir clip and the Superman / Supergirl video clip.

Killing Heidi have shown the are not a one-hit-wonder, with the second single, 'Mascara'. This went further then Weir on the Aria Charts, because it became no. 1! 'Mascara' was rereleased as a double A-side single with 'Leave Me Alone'.

Then came Superman / Supergirl on the charts near the top. That single was released also as a double A-side with Black Sheep. It also came with a couple of CDRom videos and live tracks.

At the 2000 PCM Expo, Killing Heidi played most of the songs off their popular album for free. They also signed photos, autograph books, CDs and pretty much whatever people had to offer.

At the 2000 ARIA awards, Killing Heidi won four awards. They also played two songs live at the Arias, and were very popular amongst the mosh pit. I should know, I was there in the pit.

Reflector comes with 12 great tracks. They are:
Mascara
Weir
Superman / Supergirl
Astral Boy
Leave Me Alone
You Don't Know
A Jar Labelled Small
Live Without It
Class Celebrities
Real People
Jons Song
Black Sheep
